We are seeking an experienced community manager to join our rapidly growing team. The following description is our ideal list of qualifications, however we will consider candidates that do not meet all of these requirements if there is sufficient experience, demonstrated talent and alignment of purpose, passion and vision.
Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to creative brainstorming sessions to generate ideas, identify community problems and devise elegant solutions
- Establish and develop communication channels and content for Cohere on Discord, Twitter, Instagram, and/or other local channels
- Answer questions through these channels pertaining to Cohere product, tokenomics, governance and announcements
- Research and map target audiences and develop strategies to connect with our community
- Define, track and measure community KPIs
- Collaborate with the marketing, PR, and communications departments to develop social media strategies
- Update the community with Cohere news and developments over all communication channels
- Engage with the community to gather feedback, providing insights and actionable decisions back to the Cohere team
- Develop community-driven growth strategies and relationships
- Host regular community conversations, handle calendar invitations, and distribution
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas that challenge conventional thinking
Required Skills
- Ambitious, self-starter that takes pride in beating deadlines and exceeding expectations
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval
- Familiarity with web3, with previous experience running and growing communities on one of more of the following channels: Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Circle
- Understanding of DAOs, DeFi, & the cryptocurrency ecosystem
- Willingness to challenge beliefs, assumptions and conventions; and the ability to iterate efficiently and intelligently based on feedback, data and trends
- Aptitude for tracking relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat visits or inquiries)
- Openness to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
- Ability to work effectively and manage timelines without being micromanaged
- Passion about all things community and an insatiable desire to solve big problems with community-driven solutions
- A lifelong learner that has deep knowledge of the latest community trends and tools
- Empathy, integrity, curiosity, humility and self-awareness

Compensation
We are providing a unique opportunity to earn redeemable equity in an innovative social enterprise that is solving some of the world’s most pressing issues.
